2 What personal data we collect
We collect personal data in three ways: information you give us, information created as you use the programme, and information collected automatically when you visit our website.
Data you provide to us
  • Account and identity data — your name, email address and the login credentials you create when you sign up.
  • Enrolment and billing data — the information needed to process a purchase, including billing name, email and the payment details you submit to our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
  • Communications — the content of emails, support requests or enquiries you send to us, and any feedback or survey responses you choose to give.
Data created through your use of the programme
  • Learning activity — your course progress, modules completed, quiz answers and scores, and certification status, recorded on our course platform.
  • Records of access — sign-in dates and the duration of your access entitlement.
Data collected automatically on our website
  • Technical and usage data — your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring links, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
Providing personal data is voluntary, but some data is necessary to create an account, process a purchase or issue a certificate. If you choose not to provide it, we may be unable to deliver the programme to you.
3 How we use your data
We use personal data only for purposes directly related to running the programme and our business, namely to:
  • create and administer your account and give you access to the modules you have enrolled in;
  • process payments and provide receipts;
  • track your progress, mark quizzes and issue your certification;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
  • send you service messages about your account, access period and course updates;
  • improve the content, security and performance of our programme and website; and
  • meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We will not use your personal data for a new purpose unless that purpose is directly related to the one for which it was collected, or unless we obtain your consent.
4 Direct marketing
We may use your name and email address to send you information about our courses, offers and related content. In line with the Ordinance, we will only do so where you have not objected, and we will always tell you clearly how to opt out.

You can withdraw your consent to direct marketing at any time, at no cost, by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing us at info@outwitcompany.com. Once you opt out, we will stop using your data for marketing, though we may still send you essential service messages about your account.
5 Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the programme, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their role. These include:
  • LearnWorlds — our course hosting platform, which stores your account, login and learning-activity data.
  • Stripe— our payment provider, which securely processes enrolment payments and card details.
  • Hubspot— the email platform we use to manage sign-ups and send course and marketing communications.
  • Google Analytics — our website analytics provider, which helps us understand how the site is used (see section 7).
These providers act on our instructions and are required to keep your data secure and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose personal data where required by law, a court order, or a request from a regulator or law-enforcement authority.
6 Transfers outside Hong Kong
Some of our service providers store or process data on servers outside Hong Kong. Where personal data is transferred outside Hong Kong, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected to a standard comparable with the Ordinance, including through the contractual terms we hold with those providers.
7 Cookies & analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and secure. Analytics cookies, including those set by Google Analytics, help us measure traffic and improve the site; the data they generate is aggregated and does not identify you directly.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
8 How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Your access to the programme runs for six months from enrolment. We retain your account and certification records for a reasonable period after that to verify your certification and meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which we securely delete or anonymise the data.
9 How we protect your data
We take practicable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, loss, use or disclosure. These include encryption in transit, restricted access to accounts and records, and relying on reputable service providers that maintain their own security controls. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
10 Your rights
Under the Ordinance you have the right to:
  • Access — ask whether we hold personal data about you and request a copy of it.
  • Correction — ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate.
  • Opt out of direct marketing — as described in section 4.
To make a data access or correction request, email us at info@outwitcompany.com. We will respond within 40 days, as required by the Ordinance. We may charge a reasonable fee for complying with a data access request. If we cannot meet a request in full, we will tell you why.
MAKING A COMPLAINT
If you are concerned about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD) at www.pcpd.org.hk.
11 Age of users
The programme is intended for working professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where the change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
